MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. He released his debut long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. It peaked at number eight at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. The following year he was a part of Ozuna to record the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. Mala Influencia was released in 2020 by Noriel and his Dopamina album that year. He appeared later in 2021 on a duet TINI on her most streamed track Maldita Foto. The 2023 album of 2000 featuring the mega-hit La Bachata. Turizo is a product of a musical household both his parents have been musicians. In interviews he has described playing music as an obligation. He was taught how to play the saxophone, guitar, Ukulele, and piano while an infant. His initial goal was to be a veterinarian, the brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in singing lessons with an Cuban teacher. The end outcome of discovering his talents in the field of singing changed the direction of his life.
