Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, boleros from the past, and classic ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is passionate about operas and tangos. In addition, she is a fan of performing in dramatic shows. Ana began learning and singing the piano with her mom, before beginning her singing training at the age of 16 working with the famous Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was part of numerous opera groups and chamber choirs. The year 2000 saw her move in America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she settled in her new home in Southern California. The group she is in currently part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and regularly performs as a soloist with traditional Latin American music at private occasions. As a musician and teacher, she is committed to various community-based projects due to her enthusiasm and love for music. Ana was also part of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently an instructor for the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a passion, particularly for the young generation in keeping the music vibrant.
